Lost in Berlin
Lost in Berlin is a generative web-documentary, where a voice-over leads the apparition of the photographic work of Pierre-Yves Massot, about Berlin.
We programmed an autonomous curator who searches related tagged images for each word the voice-over says. The spoken story remains the same for each visitor, but the construction of the photographic arrangement is never the same.
Pierres-Yves Massot had an abundance of photographs from his travel in Berlin. The volume of which was excessive, but he didn’t want to perform a selection process. To combat this issue, we were able to use nearly all of the photos by adopting this automatic way of presentation. It was surprisingly efficient.
